Most Fraser Coast homes should have their split systems professionally cleaned every 12 months. Homes close to the water at Burrum Heads, Point Vernon or Torquay, households with pets, smokers or allergy sufferers, and any system running daily through summer are better on a 6-monthly cycle because salt air and humidity accelerate mould and biofilm growth.

Yes. A DIY filter rinse only removes surface dust. A professional clean pressure-washes the evaporator coil and blower barrel, flushes and sanitises the drain, and treats the unit with an antimicrobial — which is where mould, odour and lost airflow actually live. Owners typically notice colder air, quieter running and lower power bills straight after a clean.

That damp, dirty-sock smell is mould and bacteria growing on the wet evaporator coil and inside the blower wheel — extremely common in the Fraser Coast's humid climate. Deodorising sprays only mask it. Removing the barrel and coil deposits with a chemical clean and then sanitising the surfaces is the only fix that lasts.

Nine times out of ten it's a blocked condensate drain. Sludge from dust and mould builds up in the drain pan and line, water backs up and overflows out of the indoor unit. We flush and clear the drain line as part of every clean, so leaks are usually resolved and prevented in the same visit.

Yes. A blocked filter and coated coil choke airflow and stop the unit shedding heat, so it runs longer to reach the set temperature. Clearing that build-up restores designed airflow and heat transfer — commonly a noticeable drop in run time and power use, plus less wear on the compressor.

A clean targets hygiene and airflow: filters, evaporator coil, blower barrel, drain, outdoor coil and sanitising. A service is mechanical — checking temperature split, refrigerant pressures, electrical connections and operation. Our Restoration Clean includes performance testing and a written condition report, so you get both in one visit.

Yes — that's our specialty. We're available 7 days and we deliberately keep 5pm–8pm appointments open so you don't have to take time off work to be home. Late afternoon and evening bookings across Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Childers, Tiaro, Torbanlea and Burrum Heads are standard, not an extra.
